Albit 63 is a silicate and highly resistant against weathering. It does not contain free respirable silica.
It has a high degree of whiteness, a low water and oil absorption and a well defined granulometry.
A silicate is preferred in wall coatings as no chalking can appear and the life time of the wall coat is strongly increased. Its high degree of whiteness and low yellow value easily allow the formulation of strong and brilliant colors. The platy particle shape improves the opacity of the coating.
The finer varieties find their application in varnishes that need a high degree of chemical resistance.
